What is One Billion Rising Philadelphia?
In coordination with teams around the country and around the world, One Billion Rising is a wake up call for all of us who have had it with victim-blaming, slut-shaming, rape, harassment, intimidation and abuse. Enough is enough!
WOMEN'S WAY will be hosting a FREE Zumba session in Love Park at 2:14pm on 2-14-13. Join us as we DANCE together to end violence against women. We will also be coordinating social media so that people from all over can participate in One Billion Rising on their own terms by sending us pictures, videos, tweets, etc. for us to post on the live feed. Smaller groups in Philadelphia are welcome to contact WOMEN'S WAY so that we can use our networks to spread the news about your individual events. As you participate in your events throughout the day, send us pictures and updates so that we can post them on the main Philadelphia Rising page.
