WOMEN'S WAY Testifies on Human Trafficking in Front of City Council's Committee on Public Safety

On Tuesday, December 11, 2012, WOMEN'S WAY Director of Public Policy, Jen Horwitz, testified on the issue of human trafficking in front of Philadelphia's City Council's Committee on Public Safety.

The hearing, called by Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown, took note of the domestic and international aspects of human trafficking and sought to quantify the problem locally.

Amongst those testifying included Jen Horwitz of WOMEN'S WAY, representatives of the police department, the DA’s office, and the Department of Human Services, as well as several other representatives from local non-profit organizations and members of the Philadelphia Anti-Trafficking Coalition.
