Practical and Reasonable Organization Growth
with Peter York
Tuesday, March 18, 2014
12pm to 1:30pm
Please register by March 13, 2014
Peter York, CEO of Algorhythmand former Senior Partner at TCC Group, has spent the past 15 years researching nonprofit effectiveness and evaluating the outcomes of grant-funded capacity building investments and initiatives. He has conducted studies and published findings on what it takes for nonprofits to sustainand grow, including a recent collaborative study– funded by Grantmakers for Effective Organizations - on the factors that lead to the “scaling” of impact. He will share key lessons on what it means to achieve “reasonable” growth, as well as how “positive deviant” organizations – those who achieve success at the highest levels – do it. This discussion will specifically highlight the need for effective leadership, revenue generation models, research and development efforts, and performance management practices. You don’t want to miss this one! Space is limited!
If you would like to RSVP or have suggestions for topics for workshops, please contact Jennifer Leith, Director of Grantmaking.
Women's Issues Summit
Grantees, along with other key nonprofits serving women, girls and families in the region, are invited to the annual Women's Issues Summit. This signature event brings dozens of area nonprofits together for large and small group discussions about emerging and capacity needs. Outcomes from the Summit inform the annual funding priorities for the Community Women's Fund.
