Funding Innovative and Vital Services

Since 1977, WOMEN'S WAY has strategically invested more than $24 million dollars into our community - making a meaningful difference for our region's women, girls and families.  Unlike most grantmaking programs, WOMEN'S WAY has to raise virtually every dollar it puts out on the streets on an annual basis.  When you give to WOMEN'S WAY for its grantmaking, you can be sure that the dollars will be invested wisely, impacting a wide range of issues and dynamic organizations - all vetted by WOMEN'S WAY utilizing its 35 years of expertise and knowledge in work impacting women, girls and families. 

What WOMEN'S WAY Funds

Each year, WOMEN'S WAY funds dozens of organizations in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties (including Southern New Jersey) that work with women, girls and families.

WOMEN'S WAY has three grantmaking programs:

• WOMEN'S WAY Action Partners
• Community Women's Fund
• The Turning Point Prize (in partnership with Women for Social Innovation)

Each one of these grant programs has different eligibility requirements and funding priorities. Please visit each program's webpage to learn more.

What WOMEN’S WAY Does Not Fund

Depending on the grant program, WOMEN'S WAY will consider requests for general operating support, capacity building support and project-specific funding.  The following types of requests will not be considered:

• Capital campaigns (“bricks and mortar” projects)
• Endowments and operating reserves
• Event sponsorships

WOMEN'S WAY seeks applications that support our mission. The following types of organizations and projects conflict with our values and funding philosophy and would not be considered:

• Organizations and projects that do not support a woman’s full range of reproductive choices
• Organizations and projects opposing same sex relationships or marriage

WOMEN’S WAY does not fund organizations that do not have 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or a fiscal sponsor. For the WOMEN'S WAY Action Partners, organizations must have 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.  Individuals may only receive funding through the Turning Point Prize.
