About This Event:
The COVID-19 pandemic is creating unique and unforeseen challenges for all of us, and that includes nonprofit organizations such as WOMEN’S WAY and the people and communities we serve. Based on the most recent COVID-19 guidance from the CDC and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and out of an abundance of concern for the health and well-being of members of our community, WOMEN’S WAY has decided to postpone its 43rd Annual Celebration until September 22, 2020. We are working closely with our vendors and partners to ensure that we have a successful event, just on a different time frame.
As we prioritize the health and safety of our staff and community, we also are working to assess the financial impact of COVID-19 on the nonprofit sector. In times like these, we see the critically important role that nonprofits play in our region. Many of the nonprofit organizations we partner with and support are facing unprecedented increases in demand for life-saving services for their clients, while also facing their own financial challenges. As such it is critical that WOMEN’S WAY and other members of the philanthropic sector work together to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals in our region.
We wish you the very best during these challenging times.
43rd Annual WOMEN'S WAY Celebration
Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 5:00pm to 8:30pm
Philadelphia 201 Hotel, 201 North 17th Street
The Annual Celebration is WOMEN’S WAY’s signature annual event, and is one of the most highly attended nonprofit events in the Greater Philadelphia area. The evening will open with a major networking reception, providing an opportunity to connect with 800 influential supporters from across the region. This will be followed by an inspiring dinner where we will honor the recipient of WOMEN’S WAY’s Lucretia Mott Award, presented to a person or organization whose work reflects a commitment to the values of equity and justice for all. This year’s Lucretia Mott Honorees are Cristina Martínez, Signe Wilkinson, and Danielle Outlaw. We will also present the Gender Equity Champion Award to Leslie E. John, ESQ. for her long-term support of WOMEN’S WAY and her commitment to the advancement of women, girls, and gender equity.
