Supporter Spotlight: Marguerite Weese Raab
A Decade with WOMEN’S WAY
As we reflect on our last 43 years of service, WOMEN’S WAY wouldn’t be where it is today without the support of our staff, board members, committee members, Young Women’s Initiative (YWI) members, partnering organizations, grantees and more. In our new series “Supporter Spotlight,” we are highlighting individuals who have made a substantial impact within our organization through service, involvement and commitment that has helped shape WOMEN’S WAY into the leading non- profit organization committed to advancing gender and racial equity in the Greater Philadelphia region.
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with longtime supporter, Marguerite Weese Raab, who has been involved throughout our organization in multiple ways. From her involvement with the Young Women’s Initiative, to serving as a Board Member, Marguerite has been involved with WOMEN’S WAY for over 10 years, crediting her years here as the catalyst that has shaped her into who she is today. In her interview, she shares her journey, various titles, and organizational changes that have transpired over the years. As she reminisces on the past, she also sheds light at the current trajectory of WOMEN’S WAY, offering insight to the necessary changes that need to be made within philanthropy, grantmaking and feminist sectors to continue addressing the root causes of gender inequity in our region and beyond.
