WOMEN’S WAY: 2025 In Review
As our team closed out 2024 around this exact time last year, we looked ahead with concern and apprehension about what the coming year might hold. We knew the promises made by the incoming administration for 2025 posed a serious risk to gender equity, and democracy more broadly. Looking back now, it’s clear just how much challenge and change can unfold in a single year. We were repeatedly reminded that our mission, grounded in systemic change, is needed now more than ever to achieve gender equity. While getting there is not a simple or straight path, we continued to find hope throughout the year in the fact that so many people throughout our region strongly believe in a shared future grounded in love, dignity, and liberation.
Throughout 2025, our community showed what this looks like in practice: grantee partners continued to show up every day for their communities with care and commitment; Board Members invested their time and leadership to strengthen our work; and our network of funders, sponsors, advocates, partners, and so many others stood with us because they believe deeply in a future with gender equity. These relationships and the progress that is possible are reflected throughout the highlights below. This is where we found hope in 2025, and where we will continue designing and building together as we move into 2026.
