The Gender Wealth Summit is back for its third year! Join us to explore how we can build an economy where everyone thrives.
Throughout the event, you'll have the chance to hear from and engage with 10 local organizations about the strategies they are implementing to help close the gender wealth gap. We will also explore how their strategies address the five dimensions of the Gender Wealth Index, a framework for supporting material, physical, and emotional well-being.
This summit will offer a unique, interactive opportunity to strategize around our collective needs, set priorities, and build a mobilized community with the resources to create wealth for all.

What is the Gender Wealth Summit? Hosted by the Gender Wealth Institute (GWI) at WOMEN'S WAY, the Gender Wealth Summit was created in 2022 to convene the region and generate a greater awareness and understanding of the gender wealth gap, and strategies for advancing gender equity.
What do we mean by wealth? At GWI, we adhere to the following definition of wealth crafted by The Maven Collaborative, which guides our understanding and approach:
- We live and retire with greater dignity, freedom, and peace of mind.
- Our communities are prosperous, resilient, and future generations have the freedom to dream big and become all they truly can be.
- We are healthy, and know that our family, networks, and communities are healthy, spiritually whole, and contributing.
Why a Gender Wealth Index? The Gender Wealth Index is designed to close the women’s wealth gap, focused on supporting material, physical, and emotional well-being. We aim to bring more awareness to the systemic conditions of oppression for women and especially women of color, who have been excluded and divested from for generations. We measure wealth in the following dimensions: Health and Healing; Stability and Opportunity; Freedom, Joy, and Belonging; Family and Community Care; Resource and Community Support. Learn more here.
