What do we mean by wealth?
At WOMEN'S WAY, we turn to the definition of wealth crafted by The Maven Collaborative, which guides our approach to advancing gender economic equity: When wealth is accumulated, we live and retire with greater dignity, freedom, and peace of mind. Our communities are prosperous, resilient, and future generations have the freedom to dream big and become all they truly can be. We are healthy, and know that our family, networks, and communities are healthy, spiritually whole, and contributing.
4th Annual Gender Wealth Summit:
The Future of the Social Safety Net
On September 26th, the Gender Wealth Summit brought together attendees from across the region and sectors to expand knowledge and build momentum for protecting our social safety net. With increasing threats to essential programs, the economic security of women and all gender-marginalized people remains at stake. This year’s Summit examined the social safety net through the lenses of initiatives, narrative change, and funding.
As is the tradition of the Gender Wealth Summit, the day featured a dynamic panel, informative “lightning talks,” and interactive sessions designed to spark connection and action. The event closed with a collective effort to generate shared next steps for strengthening and reimagining the safety net together. We are deeply grateful to everyone who showed up, spoke up, and stood together.
