50th Anniversary Story

By: Linked Family Services, WOMEN'S WAY Grantee Partner

In December 2025, Linked Family Services was in a moment of both growth and urgency. We had a surge of referrals coming in from hospitals and community partners—families in need of diapers, infant formula, and basic essentials—but we didn’t yet have a physical space to operate from.

We had been approved for other funding, but it was delayed, and in the meantime, we were doing everything we could to meet families where they were—out of cars, borrowed spaces, and pop-up setups. The need was real, and it was growing quickly. Receiving the WOMEN'S WAY Immediate Response Action Fund grant came at exactly the right moment. It wasn’t just funding—it was a bridge. Because of that support, we were able to secure space in a physical location for our Tiny Essentials Relief Hub and move forward without delay.

That space changed everything. It allowed us to organize, store, and distribute essentials with dignity. It has allowed us to follow through on partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations who trusted us with their referrals. And most importantly, it allowed us to say “yes” to more mothers who needed support for themselves and their children.

WOMEN'S WAY didn’t just fund a program—they helped us build a solid foundation. And because of that, families across Philadelphia now have a place they can come to when they need support the most.
